Short Story

I love writing, but I can only start a story, I can never seem to find the rest of it. So here's the beginning of a short story...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My bloodshot eyes watched the sunrise over the horizon, my mind wondering why I was awake. I had woken up at three o'clock and couldn't get back to sleep as it had been for the last few days. It was like there was an alarm clock inside of me that someone reset. Whoever this someonewas I wanted to talk to them - did they think my sleep deprivation was funny?!I stepped off my bed - away from my cozy, warm bed - and out my bedroom door into the hallway, tip toeing my way to the steps so I wouldn't alarm my dogs and wake up my family. Or what was left of it. They don't need any less sleep. I finished my journey down the hall and started walking down the steps. I should've put socks, the floor was freezing. I walked into my kitchen, filled a coffee pot with water and put it on the stove. Coffee makes the world go round, I swear. I walked over to the refridgerator and looked at the magnetic calander on the door, my Dads sloppy writing marking the big events of the month. God I missed him.
A Normal Day-Oh Wait...
This week in school, we have another short week - that means we had a day off. When we have a short week, we have to do everything we usually do doubled, and because we barely did any work last week, somethings are quadrupled. Today, I have to admit, went by pretty fast. In the morning I had spelling, simple solutions (some stupid workbook all the schools in the archdiocese have to do), recess, math, and computer/library. At lunch my friend Lauren and I sat in the office and played ssecretaries like we do every week, as I listened to Lauren complain because her boyfriend is too afraid to kiss her and they've gone out for nine months. I wouldv'e dumped him by now, since they haven't gone on any dates since...never? Some relationship. In the afternoon I sat through Ms. Santomo's boring Social Studies class as she debated with a few kids over whether Michael Phelps is still going to be a Nike spokesperson or not. Then I went home did my homework, played with my dogs, fed my rabbit, talked to my best friend, Rachel, went on my computer, ate dinner, got mad at my grandmom for not letting me go to a party on Saturday...yep, a pretty normal day. The only thing that sucks is I have nothing to bitch about now... Oh wait... Did I mention my grandmoms not letting me go to a party Saturday. I don't see the big deal. Its an in-door pool party, the only boy going to be there is the girls ten year old little cousin, who looks like he ate five too many big macs over the weekend...oh wait he looks like that all the time. Anyway, I didn't really want to go to the party, my friends did. Lauren said she's not going unless I go. Sorry Lauren. The point is, to go to the party, I would need to go shopping for a present, and a new bathing suit...and it wouldn't hurt to buy a few new outfits while I was there, but no. Instead I'm stuck with my smelly, annoying great grandmom, my aunt and uncle with the on-off marriage of the family, my six year old cousin Sarah (who will pal around with my little brother) and my 90lb four year old little cousin. Oh yeah, he's over weight. The doctor said he was gonna have heart problems, and my stupid aunt takes him to get cheese fries. You know, he can eat a large order my himself. If he makes it to ten, he's gonna go through serious torture in school. Poor kid. Its my aunts fault. She taught him to eat his feelings... Xs and Lots of Os, A bitch-less Des
Student/Parent Appreciation Day
This week is Catholics school week, and going to a Catholic school, we celebrate it. Yesturday was Parent Appreciation Day, and we were supposed to have this big great show supporting service, complete with gospel songs and a remix of hairsprays "You Can't Stop the Beat." Fun...not exactly. Because yesterday was a snow day, we had the show today, even though today was actually Student Appreciation Day. All the little kids were so cute doing they're dances, of course the Sevies (aka: 7th Graders) looked stupid with their "I'm too cool to dance like everyone else is," looks in stature and then their was us...the 8th graders. Ms. Galanti, our music teacher "loves us", so she claims. Yep, she loves us so much, she forgot to teach us our dance. So what did we do? Standing admist all the dancing children, we stood there, looking like fools, only knowing the words. Mind you, this was being recorded and we were infront of all our parents. But thankfully, we can think on our feet and started the wave. It couldn't have looked too bad, hopefully. Xs and Lots of Os, A Train-Wrecked Des
Sledding; Why You Shouldn't Do It.
Today was just dandy. I went sledding with my two favoritest people in the whole damned world, my baby brother, and my best friend. We went sledding, and it was awesome going down that first hill; until, of course, I realized I had to walk all the way back up the hill, then suddenly I realized what a long and tiring day it was going to be...
